Porsche Is Back In Action In Bad Boys: Ride Or Die

In Sony Pictures' latest release, "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," the 992-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S takes a prominent role. The film, now showing exclusively in cinemas worldwide, marks the third appearance of a Porsche sports car in the popular action-comedy franchise. This summer, Miami's finest are back, but this time they are on the run.

Detective Mike Lowrey, played by Will Smith, drives a black 911 Turbo S Coupe with its distinctive rear spoiler. Dominique Tascioglu, Manager Brand & Content Marketing, stated, "For nearly three decades, the Porsche 911 has helped create the bond between the iconic 'Bad Boys' Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett."

Porsche attended various global premieres of "Bad Boys: Ride or Die." The iconic 964-generation Porsche 911 Turbo from the first film lined up in Los Angeles alongside the current film car. Additional Turbo models from the 992 and 964 generations appeared at launches in Berlin, Dubai, and Riyadh.

Global Premieres and Appearances

In Berlin, actors, filmmakers, and international guests arrived at the red carpet event in Porsche sports cars. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have been a trusted team since the nineties. The first 'Bad Boys' action film was released in 1995, featuring a black 964-generation 911 Turbo 3.6 from Director Michael Bay's personal collection.

"Bad Boys II" followed in 2003, succeeded by "Bad Boys for Life" in 2020 with a Gentian Blue 992-generation 911 Carrera 4S. The latter earned $432.2 million worldwide, making it the most-watched instalment of the franchise and the highest-grossing film of 2020.
