Porsche Unveils The 2025 911 Carrera T In Coupe And Cabriolet Variants

The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T returns with a coupe and, for the first time, a cabriolet model. This third modern version enhances its sporty design by combining a dynamic chassis with the standard 911 Carrera engine. It focuses on lightweight materials and offers a six-speed manual gearbox as the only transmission option.

The 911 Carrera T is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo boxer engine, identical to the standard Carrera. It produces 388 hp and 331 lb.-ft. of torque, reaching 60 mph in 4.3 seconds for the coupe and 4.5 seconds for the cabriolet. The top track speeds are 183 mph for the coupe and 182 mph for the cabriolet.

A six-speed manual transmission directs power to the rear wheels, using the first six ratios from the previous seven-speed manual in Type 992.1 Carrera models. A walnut ball handle on the shift lever marks this model's uniqueness during gear changes.

The Carrera T includes an auto-blip feature for smooth downshifts, part of the Sport Chrono package that comes standard. This package also features a dial on the GT Sport steering wheel for quick access to various drive modes like Normal, Sport, Sport Plus, and Wet.

Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is standard on this model, lowered by 10 millimetres compared to the regular 911 Carrera. The braking system now includes larger discs and six-piston fixed calipers at the front axle.

Rear-axle steering is standard, offering quicker steering ratios than in previous models. Revised anti-roll bars enhance agility and stability during spirited driving. Porsche Torque Vectoring uses a mechanical rear differential lock to direct power efficiently during cornering.

Design and Materials

The Carrera T stands out with Vanadium Grey Metallic accents on mirror covers, wheels, door decals, and rear badge. The Sport Exhaust features black stainless steel tailpipes. Special stickers display the manual shift pattern on rear side windows.

Porsche offers twelve paint colours with Vanadium Grey accents specific to this model. Options range from solid black to vibrant shades like Cartagena Yellow Metallic and Shade Green Metallic.

Interior Details

The interior features Vanadium Grey accents on the dashboard and centre console with black anodised aluminium door panel trims. A shift pattern logo appears on the dashboard's passenger side, alongside an "MT" badge near the shift lever.

Standard equipment includes black heated Sport Seats Plus with four-way power adjustment and a heated GT Sport steering wheel wrapped in leather. Customers can opt for leather interiors at an additional cost.

Availability and Pricing

The new Porsche models are available for order now, with expected arrivals at U.S. Porsche Centres next summer. The coupe starts at $134,000 while the cabriolet begins at $147,300 before additional fees.
