DriveSpark Exclusive: Omega Seiki Mobility To Disrupt The 1-Ton Cargo Segment With New EV, Pricing Details Out
Omega Seiki Mobility is currently one of the fastest growing electric vehicle manufacturers in India. The company has a good lineup of electric cargo vehicles in its product portfolio.
In a recent interview with DriveSpark, the founder of Omega Seiki Mobility, Mr Uday Narang revealed that the company will be launching a plethora of new electric cargo vehicles in the coming months.

Moreover, he also revealed a few crucial details of a potentially game-changing new product in the cargo transport industry. This upcoming EV from Omega Seiki Mobility is expected to launch by the year end and it will compete in the ever-growing 1-Ton category.
However, the 'game-changing' part of Omega Seiki Mobility's upcoming 1-ton electric cargo truck is its pricing. According to Mr Narang, this 1-ton electric cargo truck from Omega Seiki Mobility is expected to be priced at Rs 8 lakh (approximate ex-showroom price).
At this pricing, the Omega Seiki Mobility's upcoming 1-ton electric cargo truck is more than Rs 1 lakh cheaper than the Tata Ace EV. The latter is even rated for a payload of just 600kg.
As such, we expect the upcoming 1-ton electric cargo truck from Omega Seiki Mobility to be a game changer in the electric cargo vehicle industry. Also, we expect this pricing to attract the attention of many commercial truck users in tier 1 and tier 2 cities in India.
During the interview, Omega Seiki Mobility founder, Narang, also revealed that the company will soon launch its products in Africa, and test of many of the company's products or going on in South American and South Asian countries.
With these developments, we expect Omega Seiki Mobility to become a leading player in the growing electric cargo vehicle industry within a short span of time. We also expect the company to be a key player in the country's road to achieving a lower carbon footprint.
