Nissan X-Trail Bookings Commence In India – Rivals Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian & MG Gloster
Nissan India has commenced bookings for the all-new Nissan X-Trail SUV. Though Nissan is yet to reveal the prices for the new X-Trail SUV in India, we expect this model to cost around Rs 40 lakh as it is a fully imported model (CBU).
That being said, Nissan India is expected to reveal the prices for the X-Trail SUV on August 1, 2024. It is also worth mentioning that the token amount for booking the Nissan X-Trail SUV has been set at Rs 1 lakh.

In terms of features, the India-spec Nissan X-Trail will include a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, wireless smartphone charging, and keyless entry and go.
In terms of safety features, the new Nissan X-Trail SUV includes seven airbags, automatic headlamps and wipers, traction control, hill-start assist, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and a limited-slip differential.

The upcoming X-Trail also offer three rows of seats. The second row has split-folding (40/20/40), sliding, and reclining capabilities. In contrast, the third row features split-folding (50/50) and reclining functions.
That being said, the third row seats are best suited for children or folded down to increase luggage space to 585 litres. Folding down the second row further expands the cargo area to an impressive 1,424 litres.

Powering the Nissan X-Trail is the smallest engine in its segment. The 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine produces 163hp and 300Nm of peak torque, courtesy of its variable compression ratio turbo and a 12V mild-hybrid system.
Furthermore, this small but potent powertrain is mated to an 8-step CVT gearbox that can also be operated using paddle shifters. Unlike its international versions that offer an all-wheel-drive system, the Indian variant of the Nissan X-Trail will only be available in a front-wheel-drive format.

Dimension-wise, the Nissan X-Trail measures 4,680mm in length, 1,840mm in width, and 1,725mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,705mm. In contrast, the Toyota Fortuner stands at 4,795mm in length, 1,855mm in width, and 1,835mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,745mm.
