Nissan Unveils Unique Electric Mobile Karaoke Studio
LONDON, UK, 20 May 2024 – Nissan has introduced the Townstar Karaok-e, a unique, 100% electric van that offers a mobile karaoke lounge experience. This custom-built vehicle showcases the versatility of the Townstar EV platform, designed to cater to various business conversions.
The Townstar Karaok-e is equipped with a 45kWh battery, providing a WLTP city range of up to 219 miles and a combined cycle range of up to 163 miles. This electric van has been customised with a fully functional karaoke system, offering an unforgettable musical journey for two friends.
The development of the Townstar Karaok-e focused on wellbeing and happiness. Scientific studies indicate that singing and music can reduce stress and boost dopamine levels. The Townstar Karaok-e aims to transform any cross-town trip into a joyous experience.
The interior of the Townstar Karaok-e has been transformed into a karaoke lounge, providing maximum passenger comfort and limousine-like legroom. It features an integrated sound system, subwoofer, 32-inch high-definition display, and a wide repertoire of songs in multiple languages.
Passengers can record their performances on GoPro cameras and personalise their videos using built-in touchscreens. The LED cabinet and interior roof lights are synchronised to the beat, while the exterior features an 'On Air' sign and colour-changing wrap for maximum attention.
While the Townstar Karaok-e is not available for purchase, the regular Townstar EV is now available in the UK as a versatile Crew Van with five seats. Prices for Van variants start from £33,945, excluding FRF, VAT, and Plug-In Grant (£2,500 on L1 variants and £5,000 on L2 variants). The Crew Van is priced at £38,295 excluding FRF, VAT, and £5,000 Plug-In Grant.
Stock for Van versions is ready for immediate delivery, while deliveries for the Crew Van will begin in July.
