Nissan Marks Start Of Production For Redesigned 2025 Murano At Smyrna Plant

Nissan has commenced production of the redesigned Murano at its Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant. Brian Crockett, vice president of manufacturing at the plant, expressed pride in the team's efforts. Since 2020, nearly 145,000 Murano vehicles have been produced at the Smyrna plant for customers in the U.S. and Canada. Nissan plans to increase production to over 6,700 units monthly by March 2025, with deliveries expected early next year. The engines for the Murano are manufactured at Nissan's Decherd Powertrain Plant.

The Smyrna plant is a key part of Nissan's manufacturing network, producing models like LEAF, Pathfinder, Rogue, and INFINITI QX60 alongside Murano. With an investment of $7.1 billion USD and over 5,700 employees, it stands as one of Nissan's largest factories globally with an annual capacity of 640,000 vehicles.
