Nissan Motor India has officially opened the booking process for the new Nissan Magnite facelift SUV. This announcement indicates the SUV will be available for purchase starting October 4, 2024, with deliveries to customers commencing the following day. This move is seen as a significant step for Nissan, as it aims to rejuvenate its presence in the automotive market.

The Magnite facelift is expected to showcase several enhancements, particularly in its exterior and interior design. Aesthetically, it will sport a refreshed look with redesigned front and rear bumpers, an updated grille, and new headlamp and taillight designs.

Adding to its appeal, the facelift model will also feature new diamond-cut alloy wheels for higher-spec models and redesigned plastic wheel covers for the lower-spec models. These updates are anticipated to bolster the SUV's market position significantly.

Regarding mechanical upgrades, the Magnite facelift will continue with the current model's powertrain options. These include a 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, delivering 71 bhp and 96 Nm, and a more potent turbocharged variant producing 98 bhp and up to 160 Nm.

Transmission options will remain, offering a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT for the naturally aspirated engine, and a choice between a manual and a CVT automatic for the turbocharged engine.

Inside, the cabin will receive a refresh with several new features aimed at enhancing passenger comfort and convenience. Expectations include a single-pane electric sunroof, an upgraded 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, and a 7-inch digital display for the driver.

Additionally, the interior will be upgraded with new materials for the dashboard and new upholstery for the seats, reflecting Nissan's commitment to improving the driving and passenger experience.
