New Nissan Kicks SUV To Make Its Debut At The New York Motor Show: New Features, ADAS Tech & Much More

Though Nissan experimented with the Kicks SUV in India, the model was not well received by the public. Soon, Nissan pulled out the Kicks SUV from the Indian automobile market due to its lacklustre sales figures.

Now, Nissan is all set for a grand unveiling of the new Nissan Kicks SUV at the New York Motor Show 2024. This latest iteration boasts a slightly larger dimension and also shares a few characteristics with the Mitsubishi X-Force SUV.

The new Nissan Kicks introduces a stylish exterior, incorporating doors, roof, and additional components akin to the XForce SUV. Its design features a sleek, coupe-like roofline, accented by matte black body cladding and, on higher variants, impressive 19-inch alloy wheels.

Furthermore, the front of the new Nissan Kicks SUV showcases horizontal LED lights integrated within a vast black grille area, while the rear sports distinct LED taillamps and a black trim that extends across the tailgate.

Inside, the Kicks elevates its premium appeal with high-quality materials. Central to its interior is a large 12.3-inch infotainment screen. The dashboard mirrors the XForce's double-layered style but with an unmistakable upgrade in material quality.

Enhancements include touch-sensitive HVAC controls, four USB-C ports, and a wireless charging pad. The SUV also supports wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and unlike the XForce, it features a panoramic sunroof. Select models will even boast BOSE speakers integrated into the headrests.

Standard across the new Kicks range is the Nissan Safety Shield 360 ADAS Suite, featuring Intelligent Cruise Control. The top-tier variant further benefits from the Nissan ProPILOT Assist system, offering steering aid to maintain lane positioning.

Thoughts About The New Nissan Kicks SUV

The anticipation for the Nissan Kicks' global debut underscores Nissan's commitment to refreshing its SUV lineup, promising a blend of style, technology, and performance. While its fate in the Indian market remains to be seen.
