2025 Nissan Kicks Receives IIHS 2024 Top Safety Pick Award For Outstanding Safety Performance
The 2025 Nissan Kicks has earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) 2024 TOP SAFETY PICK award. This accolade highlights its robust safety features under the latest, more demanding evaluation criteria. The updated standards require vehicles to excel in side-impact tests that now involve 82% more energy than before.
To qualify for the IIHS award, vehicles must meet stringent requirements across various safety aspects. These include achieving a "Good" rating in both small overlap front and updated side-impact crash tests. Additionally, they must perform well in rear-seat protection, pedestrian crash prevention, and headlight performance across all trims.
The 2025 Nissan Kicks has demonstrated exceptional safety capabilities by meeting these rigorous standards. It secured a "Good" rating in the original moderate front crash test and an "Acceptable" or "Good" rating in pedestrian front crash prevention evaluations. Headlight performance across all trims also met the required standards.
Nissan's commitment to safety is evident in the Kicks' standard inclusion of Safety Shield® 360 technologies across all trims. These features include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Automatic Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and High Beam Assist.
