Nissan India Hits 1.1 Million Export Milestone With Stellar June Sales

Nissan Motor India has achieved a significant milestone by exporting 1.1 million units since the beginning of its export operations, reflecting the company's 'Make in India, Make for the World' philosophy. The Nissan Magnite marked this achievement on 29 June 2024 at the Ennore Kamarajar Port, Tamil Nadu. In June 2024 alone, Nissan reported a cumulative wholesale of 10,284 units, with Year-on-Year (YoY) growth of 76.3% and Month-on-Month (MoM) growth of 65.7%.

Export and Domestic Wholesale Figures

The export wholesale accounted for 8,177 units in June 2024, witnessing a YoY growth of 149% and MoM growth of 104%. Meanwhile, domestic wholesale reached 2,107 units during the same period. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, expressed gratitude to the team for achieving this significant milestone and highlighted Magnite and Sunny as key drivers of their export business.

Nissan Magnite's Success

The Nissan Magnite has been a major factor in the company's upward trajectory since its launch in December 2020. Over 1,40,000 units have been sold domestically and internationally. The Magnite combines Japanese design excellence with efficient Indian production, exemplifying Nissan Motor India's manufacturing philosophy.

Expanding Network Footprint

As part of its growth strategy, Nissan Motor India has been increasing its network footprint across the country. With recent additions in Srinagar, Salem, Delhi, and Durgapur, the company now has a network of 272 touchpoints providing quality sales and service experiences to customers nationwide. Nissan plans to continue expanding its network footprint in the coming fiscal year.

Global Exports

The Nissan Magnite is exported to 15 global markets including Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Brunei. In recent years, Nissan Motor India has focused on exports to Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
