Nissan Formula E Team Reveals Updated Livery And Driver Line-Up Ahead Of Season 11
Nissan Formula E Team has revealed its updated livery for the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The team is gearing up for its first season under the new GEN3 Evo regulations. They will continue with their popular cherry blossom design, which reflects their Japanese heritage and signifies new beginnings. This livery has become an integral part of Nissan's identity in Formula E.
The team aims to build on a successful Season 10, where they finished fourth in both the Teams' and Drivers' Championships and third in the Manufacturers' Championship. To enhance their performance, Nissan has refreshed its driver lineup. Norman Nato returns after a year away, joining Oliver Rowland, who secured two wins and five podiums last season. Both drivers are experienced race winners with a proven ability to develop cars.
Nato will continue with car number #17, while Rowland switches to Nissan's traditional #23. The team's new factory is now fully operational ahead of the 2024/25 campaign. Located south of Paris, this facility spans over 2,600 square meters and includes a workshop, simulator, engineering offices, and more. Its proximity to other Nissan sites ensures access to talent and resources within the group.
Rowland and Nato will debut as teammates during pre-season testing from November 4-7 in Valencia. The official start of Season 11 is set for December 7 at the São Paulo E-Prix. Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal of Nissan Formula E Team, expressed excitement about the upcoming season: "We're excited for the new season and have been working hard, getting to grips with the GEN3 Evo car."

Commitment to Electric Racing
Nissan made its all-electric racing debut in Season 5 (2018/19) of Formula E as the first Japanese manufacturer in the series. In Season 7 (2020/21), they announced long-term involvement in Formula E through the Gen3 era until Season 12 (2025/26). In April 2022, Nissan acquired full ownership of e.dams race team.
In June 2022, they announced supplying EV powertrain technology to McLaren Racing throughout Gen3 era. Ahead of Tokyo E-Prix on March 28th, 2024; Nissan committed long term by signing up for Gen4 era running until 2030 aligning with Ambition 2030 electrification targets.
