Nissan Recognises Supplier Excellence At The 2024 Regional Appreciation Event In Franklin, Tennessee
Nissan North America recently hosted its annual Supplier Appreciation and Awards event in Franklin, Tennessee. This gathering celebrated the vital role of its supplier network and acknowledged their accomplishments in various categories. Andrew Wareing, Chief Procurement Officer and Vice President of Purchasing for Nissan Americas, stated, "Our success at Nissan is built on the strong, collaborative relationships we have with our suppliers. Their dedication, innovation and partnership are essential to our achievements. Congratulations to this year's award recipients, and we thank all of our suppliers for their ongoing support."
The 2024 awards highlighted several categories for the 2023 fiscal year. The Monozukuri Spirit category honoured suppliers who embody Monozukuri principles in both upstream and downstream activities. Companies such as Adient US, LLC; BASF Corporation; Kasai North America, Inc.; Topre America; and Yates Services LLC were recognised for their comprehensive understanding of these principles.

In the Aftersales category, suppliers who significantly contributed to Nissan's operations were celebrated. Auto Konnect; Gonher de Mexico; Interstate Batteries, Inc.; and Ituran Mexico received accolades for their outstanding performance in this area.
Sustainability Efforts
The Sustainability category acknowledged suppliers promoting sustainable business practices aligned with environmental and ethical standards. Bose Corporation; Kumho Tire; and Mann+Hummel GmbH were honoured for their efforts in fostering socially responsible operations.
Diversity Initiatives
Suppliers integrating opportunities for minority- and women-owned businesses within their operations were recognised under the Diversity category. CBRE; Martinrea International Inc.; and Unipres U.S.A. Inc. were acknowledged for successfully incorporating diversity into their business models.
Operational Excellence Achievements
Operational Excellence awards went to suppliers excelling in manufacturing efficiency, quality control, innovation, and supply chain collaboration. OPmobility; SEWS Mexico, S.A. de C.V.; and Yazaki North America, Inc. stood out for their exceptional contributions in these areas.
Quality Standards Recognition
The Quality category awarded suppliers consistently meeting or exceeding high standards in products or services. In the Body segment: Autokiniton U.S. Holdings, Inc., TIMS Daiei Mexicana, S.A. de C.V.; Chassis: Maxion Wheels de Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V., Kautex Textron de Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V.; Components: Sumiriko Tennessee, Inc., Mubea de Mexico; Electric: Continental Autonomous Mobility U.S., LLC, Alcom Electrónicos de México, S.A. de C.V.; Engine and drive: Fugra, S.A. de C.V., AISIN Automotive Casting Tennessee, Inc.; Interior and Exterior: Faltec America, Inc., North American Lighting Mexico, S.A. de C.V.
