Nissan Americas Announces Key Senior Leadership Changes Effective August

Nissan has announced several changes to its North American marketing and sales leadership team, effective August 1. Scott Shirley, vice president, Chief Marketing Manager (CMM) & Marketing Operations, Nissan U.S., will retire at the end of the year. Shirley has been with Nissan since 1988, holding various leadership roles in marketing and sales.

Jeff Pope, currently division vice president of Dealer Network Development, Customer Resources and Training for Nissan & INFINITI in the U.S. and Canada, will take over Shirley's role. Pope will lead Nissan's marketing operations teams, including vehicle pricing, incentives, and lifecycle plans. He will report to Vinay Shahani, senior vice president of U.S. Marketing and Sales.

Nissan Leadership Team Updates

Steve Milette, who is presently the president of Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI), will succeed Pope as division vice president of Dealer Network Development, Customer Resources and Training. Milette will oversee dealer network development operations for both Nissan and INFINITI brands in the U.S. and Canada. He will also handle training responsibilities for the field organization and dealership employees in the U.S.

Trevor Longley, currently vice president of Sales Operations at NCI, will replace Milette as president of NCI. Longley will be responsible for all Nissan and INFINITI operations in Canada. His duties will include overseeing sales and marketing, finance, dealer network development, product planning, corporate planning, aftersales services, communication strategies, legal matters, human resources management, and the captive sales finance company.

Longley will report to Jérémie Papin and be based at NCI headquarters in Mississauga, Canada.

"Scott has been a strong leader during his 36-year Nissan career," said Jérémie Papin, chairperson of Nissan Americas. "We thank him for his positive contributions both for our business and company culture." Papin added that as they focus on delivering meaningful innovation in their vehicle lineup and customer experience, they are fortunate to have a strong group of leaders to continue this mission.

Milette will relocate to Nissan Americas' headquarters in Franklin and report to Shahani.

The company aims to maintain its focus on innovation within its vehicle lineup while enhancing customer experience through these leadership changes.
