Alun Parry Honoured With Newspress Lifetime Achievement Award 2024
The Newspress Awards 2024 have honoured Alun Parry with the Lifetime Achievement Award. This accolade is determined solely by Newspress, recognising individuals in automotive PR or motoring journalism who command respect from peers and demonstrate unwavering commitment to their field.
Alun Parry, currently heading the Suzuki UK PR department, began his career as a senior technician at BMW, where he worked for eight years. In 1988, he transitioned to BMW's UK Press and PR department as an executive, spending a total of 19 years with the company.

Parry then moved to Toyota as PR Manager, a role he held for eight years before joining Suzuki. He has been with Suzuki for the past 16 years, serving as Head of Press and PR.
Known for his straightforward and amiable nature, Parry is highly regarded in the industry. His passion for cars, particularly 1980s BMWs, often leads to engaging conversations with colleagues and journalists alike.
Parry's dedication and helpfulness have earned him numerous votes and positive comments from journalists. Despite Kia's PR team often receiving more attention, Parry consistently garners recognition for his efforts at Suzuki.
