New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Launch Details & Other Highlights We Know So Far
The eagerly awaited new-generation Maruti Dzire is set to launch on November 11, and spy images have already unveiled its fresh design. This compact sedan showcases significant updates compared to the previous model and its sibling, the Swift. Notably, it will feature a segment-first electric sunroof, adding a touch of luxury to its offerings.
Exterior Design
The Dzire's exterior has undergone a complete transformation with a distinct front-end design that sets it apart from the Swift. It boasts a prominent grille flanked by sharp rectangular LED headlamps.

The redesigned fog lamp housing is complemented by a glossy black trim connecting the headlamps, with a chrome strip at the bottom for added elegance. The rear features Y-shaped LED elements in the tail lamps, connected by a chrome strip across the tailgate.
Interior Highlights
Inside, the Dzire retains the overall layout of the Swift but introduces enhancements like a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen and a new steering wheel. Expected features include an analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital MID. There are unconfirmed reports suggesting that higher variants might even offer ADAS technology.
Powertrain Options
Under the bonnet, the new Dzire will house the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Z Series petrol engine as seen in the Swift, delivering 82hp and 112Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a standard 5-speed manual gearbox or an automatic option for petrol variants. Additionally, there will be a petrol-CNG variant available for those seeking fuel efficiency.
Market Competition
As it prepares to hit showrooms, Maruti is expected to start accepting bookings soon, with deliveries anticipated around mid-November. The new Dzire will compete against models like Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor in India's competitive compact sedan market.
DriveSpark Thinks
Maruti's strategic updates aim to keep the Dzire relevant in its segment while offering customers enhanced features and performance options. With these changes, Maruti hopes to maintain its stronghold in India's automobile market amidst growing competition from other manufacturers.
The official price announcement is scheduled for November 11 when potential buyers can get detailed insights into what this new model has to offer in terms of value and innovation within its class.
