The new-gen E-Class LWB showcases an evolutionary design update. It features a bolder front profile with a larger grille adorned with mini tri-pointed star inserts and chrome surrounds. Redesigned LED headlamps and signature LED DRLs give it a sharper look. The extended wheelbase is evident from its profile, complemented by new 18-inch alloy wheels and flush-fitting door handles.

The rear of the car sports wraparound LED taillights with a tri-pointed star pattern, while chrome accents enhance the bumper's premium appearance. The sedan is available in five colours: Obsidian Black, High Tech Silver, Graphite Grey, Polar White, and Nautic Blue. Compared to its predecessor, it is 17 mm longer at 5092 mm but 2 mm shorter in height at 1493 mm. The wheelbase has increased by 15 mm to 3094 mm.

Inside the cabin, significant changes include the introduction of a Superscreen dashboard comprising three large screens: a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, a 14.4-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch entertainment screen for the front passenger. Premium materials and leather upholstery are extensively used throughout.

The rear seats offer exceptional comfort with electric adjustability allowing them to rise up to 40 mm and recline up to 36 degrees. Additional features include electrically operable sun blinds and soft headrests for added luxury.

The new E-Class comes equipped with multiple airbags as standard, including a centre airbag between front passengers for side collision protection. Other safety features include ABS with EBD, ESC, parking sensors at both ends, and a 360-degree camera.

Advanced driver assistance systems such as lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control further enhance safety.

The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB is powered by 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines featuring 48-volt mild-hybrid technology. The E200 variant uses a four-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 194 bhp and 320 Nm torque.

The E220d variant employs a diesel engine generating 197 bhp and 400 Nm torque. Both engines are paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission driving power to the rear wheels. Notably, six-cylinder engine options have been discontinued for this model.

This latest iteration of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB continues to elevate standards in luxury sedans within India's automotive market while maintaining its reputation as one of their bestsellers globally.
