New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire Bookings Open: All Details Here

Maruti Suzuki has now officially opened bookings for the all-new Dzire in India, which is expected to make its debut on November 11. At present, the booking amount for the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Dzire is set at Rs 11,000.

When launched, the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire will compete against other compact sedans in the Indian market such as the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Honda Amaze. We also expect the new Dzire to have considerable advantages over its rivals, thanks to its popularity in the Indian market.

New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire Booking

Though Maruti Suzuki is yet to reveal the official images of the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire, spy shots of the model have already been leaked online, and some units of the model have already started reaching dealerships across the country.

In terms of design, the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire looks very distinctive from the Swift hatchback, which it is based on. Moreover, comparisons have been made with the Honda Amaze over the looks of the new-gen Dzire.

That being said, the new-gen Dzire looks a lot more upmarket and mature than the model it replaces with design highlights such as sleek-looking LED headlamps, large front grille with gloss black element connecting the headlamps.

Coming to the sides, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire does look much more proportionate despite its sub-4m dimensions. Also, the boot lid has been slightly pinched and extended on the top to enhance stance and aerodynamics.

At the rear, the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire features Y-shaped LED taillamps and a slim metal strip. This latter design element accentuates the width of the Dzire, lending it with a more upmarket stance.

That being said, the interior of the upcoming Dzire will mirror that of the new Swift. Moreover, the higher variants will feature a large 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system. That being said, like the Swift, the lower variants will be offered with 7-inch infotainment unit.

Additionally, the new-gen Dzire is expected to include advanced features such as a semi-digital instrument cluster with a multi-information display, wireless phone charging, a 360-degree camera, and support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

In terms of safety tech, the new-gen Dzire will offer 6 airbags, hill-hold assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) to enhance passenger safety.

Under the bonnet, the new Dzire will share the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z-series naturally aspirated petrol engine with the Swift, delivering 81bhp and 111.7Nm of torque. In terms of gearbox, buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT transmission.
We also expect Maruti Suzuki to roll out a CNG variant of the Dzire shortly after its launch. However, unlike its petrol-powered counterpart, the CNG variant will be offered only with a 5-speed manual transmission.

DriveSpark Thinks

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been one of the most successful cars in the Indian market, consistently featuring in the top 5 monthly sales chart. As such, we expect the upcoming generation of the Dzire to replicate the success of its predecessors in the Indian automobile market.
