New BIS Safety Standards Introduced For Electric Vehicles In 2024
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has introduced two new standards, IS 18590: 2024 and IS 18606: 2024, to enhance the safety of electric vehicles (EVs). These standards aim to ensure that the powertrain, a critical component of EVs, meets stringent safety requirements.
