New Audi Q5 Teased Ahead Of Its Launch In India: What To Expect
Audi has teased the third-generation Q5 ahead of its global debut on September 2. The new model will feature a significant design overhaul and borrow interior elements from the Q6 e-tron, which is also set to arrive in India soon.
The upcoming Q5 will sport redesigned headlights with a sharper look. The upper section will house LED daytime running lamps separated by a Matrix LED unit, while the lower part will contain a projector likely serving as the main headlamp unit. Although Audi hasn't disclosed further design specifics, substantial changes are anticipated both inside and out.

Interior Features of the New Audi Q5
Inside, the new Q5 will adopt a dual-screen infotainment setup similar to that in the Q6 e-tron. This includes an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, both running Audi's latest operating system. Spy shots from last month confirmed these features.
While details about the next-gen Q5's powertrain remain under wraps, it is expected to offer petrol and diesel engines with 48V mild-hybrid technology internationally. Additionally, at least one plug-in hybrid variant with around 100km of electric-only range is anticipated. Higher trims will come standard with Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system, whereas entry-level models will be front-wheel drive. A manual transmission option is unlikely.

Expected Pricing and Launch Timeline
The current generation of the Audi Q5 in India is priced between Rs 65.51 lakh and Rs 72.30 lakh for the recently introduced Bold Edition. While the next-gen model is confirmed for India, Audi India has not yet provided a specific launch timeline.
In related news, Audi plans to assemble the Q6 e-tron in India, further expanding its electric vehicle lineup in the country. Additionally, the facelifted Audi Q8 has been launched at Rs 1.17 crore.
The new Q5 aims to blend advanced technology with refined aesthetics, promising an enhanced driving experience for its users. As more details emerge closer to its debut, expectations continue to build around this highly anticipated SUV.
