This installment brings together two top-tier athletes, IMSA Race Car Driver Mason Filippi and Pro Soccer Player Pierce Gallaway from the Monterey Bay Football Club, for an engaging exchange of skills and stories set against the picturesque backdrop of Monterey's premier sports venues.
The episode kicks off at Cardinale Stadium, the proud home of the Monterey Bay Football Club. Here, Union player Pierce Gallaway introduces Mason Filippi to the stadium and the club's new soccer program, which is gearing up for its third season in the USL Championship. Despite Mason's lack of recent soccer practice, he manages to impress Pierce in a head-to-head scoring competition.
The action then shifts to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, contrasting the new soccer program with a venue that boasts a long and storied history in motorsport. As Mason prepares for his race weekend at the Motul Course de Monterey powered by Hyundai N from May 10 – 12, he offers Pierce a taste of high-speed driving, including navigating the infamous 5.5 story drop at The Corkscrew turn.
