Motorlux To Spotlight Supercars And Luxury Aviation At Monterey Car Week 2024

Motorlux will kick off Monterey Car Week at the Monterey Jet Center on August 14, 2024. The event will feature classic cars like the Lamborghini Miura, modern supercars such as the Bugatti Chiron, and racing legends like the Lancia Stratos. Guests can enjoy regional wines and culinary delights from 25 world-class chefs.

Broad Arrow Auctions will host its first day during Motorlux, showcasing 65 cars. Highlights include a Porsche 911 GT1 Rennversion, a Talbot-Lago T150 C Lago Spéciale Teardrop Coupé, and a Ferrari Enzo. McLaren will present the new Artura Spider and the 750S, with former racing driver Bruno Senna in attendance.

California-based Kindred Motorworks will debut its EV Bronco, a fully electric version of the classic SUV. One of Kindred’s combustion-powered models will also be displayed. Online orders for these vehicles start on August 15, 2024. Lotus Cars will showcase the highly anticipated Emira Turbo, featuring a 400hp AMG-sourced engine.

Vista Jet, celebrating two decades of excellence in private aviation, will join Motorlux this year. Known for their silver and red jets, guests can experience their Challenger 350 aircraft firsthand. Logan Calkins, Director of Events at Hagerty, stated, "With the stage perfectly set, it's time to let the cars, cuisine and fine wine steal the spotlight at Motorlux."

Scheid Vineyards and the Monterey Vintners Association will offer a selection of local wines. Beam Suntory will feature Delola Cocktails by Jennifer Lopez. Esteemed chefs from Monterey include Todd Fisher from Bear + Flag Roadside and Jerome Viel from Jerome’s Carmel Valley Market. Newcomers like Juan Contreras from Atelier Crenn and Tony Baker from Bakers Bacon will also participate.

Broad Arrow Auctions returns for its third annual Monterey Jet Center Auction during Motorlux. The auction features over 150 motor cars in an innovative lifestyle format. Day one of the sale is on August 14th with highlights including a Porsche 911 GT1 Rennversion and a Talbot-Lago T150 C Lago Spéciale Teardrop Coupé.
