Mona Singh Buys Mercedes-Benz GLE, Embraces Luxury On Wheels
Actress Mona Singh, known for her roles in "Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin", "Laal Singh Chaddha", and "3 Idiots", has recently acquired a Mercedes-Benz GLE luxury SUV, marking another celebrity addition to the fan base of this popular vehicle.
The deal, facilitated by Auto Hangar Mercedes Benz, saw the actress taking delivery of her new luxury ride, with the price tag of the GLE ranging between ₹97 lakh to ₹1.15 crore, ex-showroom India.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE stands out as a favored option among stars, offering both petrol and diesel engine variants. The GLE 450 petrol model comes equipped with a 3.0-litre turbo petrol engine delivering 375 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque.
Diesel enthusiasts have the option of the GLE 300d, featuring a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine that produces 265 bhp and 550 Nm of torque, or the more robust GLE 450d with its 3.0-litre diesel engine generating 362 bhp and 750 Nm of torque. It remains a mystery which variant Mona Singh chose for her GLE.
A notable aspect of the GLE series is the 48-volt mild-hybrid system that boosts each engine with an additional 20 bhp and 200 Nm, enhancing acceleration and fuel efficiency. These engines are mated to an automatic transmission that powers all four wheels through an All-Wheel Drive system, ensuring a balanced and smooth driving experience.
The GLE also received a significant facelift last year, introducing a slew of upgrades to enhance its appeal. These include a new grille, bumper, and LED DRLs, alongside updated headlamps and taillights.
The interior wasn't left behind, borrowing elements from the luxurious Maybach GLS to elevate its ambiance with upgrades such as a new multi-function steering wheel, an advanced MBUX infotainment system, and more comfortable reclining seats.
Furthermore, the GLE now features electric sun blinds, fast-charging USB-C ports, four-zone climate control, and nine airbags for improved safety.
