Mitsubishi Motors Appoints Frans Vossenberg And James Scarboro As Regional Vice Presidents

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) has elevated Frans (Jack) Vossenberg and James (Jimmy) Scarboro to Regional Vice Presidents as of September 30, 2024. Vossenberg will oversee the Northeast region, while Scarboro will manage the Southeast region. Both will continue to report to Ken Konieczka, Senior VP of Sales Operations at MMNA.

The promotions align with MMNA's Momentum 2030 strategy, which aims to strengthen dealer relationships and boost Mitsubishi vehicle sales. This plan focuses on four main areas: electrification, an expanded product lineup, a modernized retail model, and network growth. The leadership of Vossenberg and Scarboro is seen as crucial for achieving these goals.

Vossenberg joined MMNA in 2015 as a Zone Distribution Manager. He later became an Area Sales Manager and then a Zone Parts and Service Manager before his recent role as Regional Director for the Northeast Region. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Penn State University.

Scarboro began his career at MMNA in 2017 as an Area Sales Manager. By 2018, he was promoted to Regional Director for the Southeast Region. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Corporate Communications from the University of South Florida.

Mark Chaffin, MMNA president and CEO, expressed confidence in their leadership abilities. "While Jimmy and Jack have differentiated their respective regions in a number of ways, what they have in common is a deep commitment to Mitsubishi Motors, to their teams, and to collaboration with their dealer partners," he stated.

Company Overview

MMNA operates through approximately 330 dealer partners across the U.S., handling sales, marketing, and customer service for Mitsubishi vehicles. The company plans to introduce one new or refreshed model each year until 2030. This expansion will nearly double its current lineup of four vehicles.

The Momentum 2030 initiative also envisions modernizing retail sales models and expanding networks for increased sales growth. MMNA's headquarters are located in Franklin, Tennessee, with additional operations in California, Georgia, Michigan, and New Jersey.

The recent promotions highlight the importance of experienced leadership in driving MMNA's future success under the Momentum 2030 plan. With Vossenberg and Scarboro at the helm of their respective regions, MMNA aims to enhance its market presence and customer experience across North America.
