Nearly 2,000 MINI enthusiasts gathered for a rally spanning over 1,600 miles from Albuquerque, NM to Seattle, Wash. The event, known as MINI TAKES THE STATES (MTTS) 2024, concluded this weekend in Seattle after a nine-day journey. This biennial event is hosted by MINI USA and attracts a large number of participants.

This year’s rally saw participants travel through five states and nine cities in the western United States. Among the nearly 2,000 attendees, 958 completed the entire route while 517 were first-time participants. Each day featured an average of 650 MINI vehicles on the road, with over 900 vehicles participating overall.

The rally included every model year and type from the MINI lineup since 2002, along with some Classic Mini cars from before 2000. The theme for this year's event was "Camp MINI," supporting both the American Camp Association and Keep America Beautiful. These organisations promote adventure and environmental stewardship.

A portion of each participant's registration fee was donated to these causes. Additionally, MINI owners were encouraged to engage in peer-to-peer fundraising and volunteer activities during the rally. The journey took them through scenic routes including mountain passes, byways, and small towns.

Participants made overnight stops in Colorado, Utah, Montana, and Washington. They also passed through several National Parks such as Mount Rainier and Yellowstone. The event concluded with a celebration at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.

In comparison to MTTS 2022, which saw over 2,000 participants travel through nine states in the eastern U.S., this year's event had slightly fewer attendees but maintained its adventurous spirit. In 2022, more than 1,000 vehicles participated with 971 owners completing the full journey.
