New-Generation MINI Cooper S & Countryman E Set For India Launch On July 24: All Details Here
MINI India has revealed that the new-generation Cooper S and Countryman E models will be available in India on 24 July 2024. Pre-bookings for these fourth-generation models started online earlier this month. Both vehicles were globally introduced in September last year. Additionally, the BMW Group plans to launch the new-generation 5 Series LWB and the BMW CE 04 electric scooter on the same day.
The 2025 MINI Cooper S will initially be offered in a three-door body style in India. It will feature a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 201 bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque. The car can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.6 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds faster than its predecessor. Power is delivered to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The new MINI Cooper S sports a redesigned grille, round LED headlamps with three customisable signature LED DRLs, and flatter surfaces for a minimalist look. The rear features an updated version of the Union Jack-themed taillights, maintaining its distinct MINI identity.
The third-generation Mini Countryman E SUV will be imported as a fully built unit, with expected prices around ₹65 lakh (ex-showroom). This model will debut in India in its electric form first.
The MINI Countryman E boasts a sharper design with new LED DRLs, a bolder grille, and larger overall proportions. It is powered by an electric motor generating 201 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque, enabling it to go from 0-100 kmph in 8.6 seconds. The vehicle promises a range of 462 km (WLTP) on a single charge.
Both the Cooper S and Countryman E share several interior features such as a circular OLED infotainment system, toggle switches for major controls, ambient lighting, and a head-up display instead of a traditional instrument console.

The new MINI Countryman E will also include Level 2 ADAS, MINI Connected technology, Digital Key Plus, a fisheye in-car camera, and an electrically adjustable driver's seat with a massage function.
These upcoming launches reflect MINI India's commitment to offering advanced and stylish vehicles to Indian consumers. The inclusion of both petrol and electric options caters to diverse preferences among car buyers.
