New-Generation MINI Cooper S And Countryman Electric Launching Tomorrow: What We Know
The new-generation MINI Cooper 3-door and Countryman Electric, which were introduced globally in September last year, are ready to be launched tomorrow, 24th July. MINI India began accepting online pre-bookings for the new Cooper S and Countryman E SUVs a few weeks ago.
Specifications of Mini Cooper S
The 2025 MINI Cooper S showcases a redesigned grille and new round LED headlamps with three customisable LED DRL signatures. The exterior design is sleeker with flatter surfaces, while the silhouette remains largely unchanged. The rear features updated Union Jack-themed taillights.

Inside, the Cooper S adopts a minimalist theme. A large 9.4-inch infotainment display, which also serves as the instrument console, dominates the centre console. A head-up display is positioned ahead of the steering wheel. The familiar toggle switches for various controls are retained, along with ambient lighting.
The new Cooper S is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, delivering 201 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. This marks an increase of 25 bhp and 20 Nm over its predecessor. The car accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 6.6 seconds, slightly faster than the older version. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Specs of Mini Countryman E
The 2025 MINI Countryman E arrives with an electric motor producing 201 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. It can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 8.6 seconds. The more powerful Countryman SE ALL4, available globally, offers 494 Nm of torque and a range of 433 km on a single charge (WLTP).
The Countryman E boasts a refreshed design and a revamped interior. Key features include a circular OLED display, new materials, Level 2 ADAS, MINI Connected tech, Digital Key Plus, a fisheye in-car camera, and an electrically adjustable driver's seat with a massage function. The Countryman E claims a range of 462 km on a single charge.

Both MINI models are set to enter the Indian market. Prices are anticipated to be higher than the current models. The MINI Cooper remains a popular choice, while the new Countryman E will compete in the entry-level electric luxury SUV segment against the BMW iX1, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA.
