MINI Unveils Aceman Electric Crossover: Urban Mobility Redefined
The MINI brand is expanding its electric vehicle (EV) portfolio with the introduction of the MINI Aceman, a mid-size all-electric crossover that promises to blend the compactness and agility MINI is known for with the practicality and versatility of a crossover. This new model is set to hit the roads in November 2024, with prices starting at £31,800 OTR. The Aceman marks a significant step in MINI's journey towards electrification, offering customers a choice between two power output levels, E and SE, across three distinct trim levels: Classic, Exclusive, and Sport.
The exterior of the MINI Aceman showcases a blend of compact dimensions and a distinctive design language. It features angular LED headlights, an octagonal grille, and a design that emphasizes flush transitions between body and glass. The rear is characterized by large horizontal surfaces and upright rear lights, creating a modern and expressive look. Inside, the vehicle boasts a centralized cockpit equipped with a 24 cm OLED display, toggle bar, and a heated Vescin steering wheel. An optional glass sky roof adds to the spacious feel of the interior, which can comfortably accommodate three passengers in the rear.

The Aceman is available exclusively with an all-electric powertrain. The E model is equipped with a 42.5 kWh battery capable of delivering up to 192 miles of electric range. It features a 135 kW/184 hp electric motor that allows it to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 7.9 seconds. For those seeking more power and range, the SE model offers a 54.2 kWh battery with up to 252 miles of range and a 160 kW/218 hp electric motor, reducing the 0 to 62 mph time to just 7.1 seconds.
Technology and Safety
The MINI Aceman introduces innovative technology for an enhanced user experience. All vehicle functions are accessible via the central OLED display, which supports both touch and voice commands. The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant integrates dialogue and geo-based data for daily tasks, while the MINI Connected package offers access to apps for entertainment on the go. Safety is also a priority, with features like parking assistance, remote parking, MINI Digital Key Plus for smartphone-based vehicle access, augmented reality navigation, and advanced driver assistance systems.
Charging and Customization
Charging the MINI Aceman is designed to be both quick and convenient, supporting AC and DC charging options. The E model can charge at rates up to 75 kW DC, while the SE model can reach up to 95 kW DC. Through the MINI app, users can monitor the charging process and schedule charging sessions for optimal convenience. Additionally, customers can personalize their Aceman with optional equipment packages—Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3—offering enhanced features and functionality. The MINI Experience Modes further customize the driving experience with immersive user experiences tailored to each mode.
In summary, the MINI Aceman represents a significant addition to MINI's electric lineup. It combines stylish design with practical functionality and cutting-edge technology to offer a compelling all-electric crossover option for urban drivers and beyond. With its launch set for November 2024, the Aceman is poised to become a sought-after model for those looking to transition to electric mobility without compromising on style or driving enjoyment.
