MG ZS EV Prices Hiked In India: All Details Here
The MG ZS EV, following a recent price adjustment, now ranges from ₹18.98 lakh to ₹25.75 lakh (ex-showroom). This increase comes after JSW-MG Motor India revised prices for other models like the MG Hector, Hector Plus, and Astor. The ZS EV's price hike varies by variant, with some seeing an increase of up to ₹32,000.
MG ZS EV Variant Price Changes
The Essence Dark Grey variant of the MG ZS EV has seen a price rise of ₹32,000. Meanwhile, the 100-year edition and Essence dual-tone Iconic Ivory variants have each increased by ₹31,000. The Exclusive Plus Dark Grey and Exclusive Plus dual-tone Iconic Ivory variants have experienced hikes of ₹30,200 and ₹30,000 respectively.
Interestingly, the entry-level Executive and Excite Pro variants of the MG ZS EV remain unaffected by this price revision. As a result of these changes, the electric SUV is now available within the aforementioned price range.
Upcoming Replacement: MG ES5
Despite being in production for five years, the MG ZS EV will soon be replaced by the MG ES5. This new model was unveiled at the 2024 Paris Motor Show and is expected to launch in European and Chinese markets by mid-2025.
The ES5 for the Chinese market offers two battery options: a 49.1 kWh pack providing a range of 425 km and a 62.2 kWh pack offering 525 km. Currently, the ZS EV's motor delivers 174 bhp and 280 Nm torque; similar figures are anticipated for its successor.
MG's strategic pricing adjustments reflect their ongoing efforts to stay competitive in India's evolving electric vehicle market. With new models on the horizon, they aim to cater to diverse consumer preferences while maintaining technological advancements in their offerings.
