MG Motor India has introduced the MG Windsor EV, a new electric crossover, to the Indian market. The MG Windsor EV is available in three trims with an introductory price of ₹9.99 lakh. Additionally, it offers a battery subscription at ₹3.5 per kilometre. In comparison, the Tata Punch EV is priced between ₹9.99 lakh and ₹14.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Both vehicles are closely matched in terms of pricing, but MG's battery subscription model could influence buyer decisions.
MG Windsor EV vs Tata Punch EV: Specifications
The MG Windsor EV is equipped with a 38 kWh battery pack, delivering 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. It offers a range of up to 331 kilometres on a single charge. Meanwhile, the Tata Punch EV comes with two battery options: 25 kWh and 35 kWh. The 25 kWh version produces 80 bhp and 114 Nm of torque, while the Long Range trim generates 120 bhp and 190 Nm of torque, offering up to 365 kilometres on one charge.

The complete price list for the MG Windsor EV has not been disclosed yet. This makes it challenging to determine which SUV provides better value for money overall. However, both vehicles present compelling options for consumers seeking electric SUVs in India.
