MG Windsor EV To Debut In India On September 11: Alloy Wheel Design Revealed

JSW MG Motor is preparing to introduce the MG Windsor EV in India on September 11. The top-spec model will feature 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with tyre dimensions of 215/55 R18. This design has been revealed ahead of the official launch, showcasing the car's premium appeal. The MG Windsor will be the company's third electric vehicle in the country, following the ZS EV and Comet EV.

The MG Windsor EV is essentially a rebadged version of the Wuling Cloud EV and will be positioned between its two existing electric models. Furthermore, the automaker has already started unofficial bookings for the model.

MG Windsor EV: Design and Features

MG has been teasing the Windsor EV with small teaser images over recent weeks, revealing its silhouette. The car's design follows what MG calls the AeroGlide styling language. One of the standout features inside the cabin will be a massive 15-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system powered by MG OS, offering a wide range of connectivity options.

The rear seats of the Windsor EV are designed to provide a lounge-like experience, similar to business class seats in an aeroplane, with 135-degree reclinable seats. This focus on comfort aims to set it apart from other electric vehicles in its segment.

MG Windsor EV: Powertrain and Range

Globally, the Wuling Cloud EV comes with two battery pack options. For India, it is expected that the larger 50.6 kWh battery pack will be available in the Windsor EV. This would provide a range of up to 460 kilometres on a single charge and include fast charging capabilities.

Upon its launch, the MG Windsor EV will compete with other electric vehicles like the recently launched Tata Curvv EV and BYD e6. These competitors highlight the growing market for electric vehicles in India as more consumers look for sustainable transportation options.

The British car manufacturer has also highlighted that the upcoming electric vehicle will offer advanced features aimed at enhancing user experience and comfort. These features are part of MG's strategy to attract more customers in India's competitive automotive market.

The introduction of MG Windsor EV marks another step in JSW MG Motor's commitment to expanding its electric vehicle lineup in India. With advanced features and competitive pricing, it aims to capture a significant share of the growing electric vehicle market in India.
