Celebrating 100 Years: MG Motor Introduces Special Evergreen Editions
MG Motor India has recently unveiled special editions across its range, including the Hector, Comet, ZS EV, and Astor, to mark its centennial celebration. These vehicles have been introduced in a unique Evergreen shade, a nod to the iconic British racing green.
Alongside this distinctive colour, the cars feature a black roof and a special '100-Year Edition’ badge adorning the tailgate. The interiors also boast an all-black theme with the '100-Year Edition’ embroidered on the front headrests, alongside an 'Evergreen’ themed head unit equipped with customizable widget colour.
It's important to note that these modifications are purely aesthetic, as there have been no mechanical changes made to the vehicles. As of now, the exact number of units to be produced in this limited run has not been disclosed by MG.
Interestingly, the Gloster is absent from this celebratory lineup, likely due to an anticipated facelift for the flagship diesel SUV scheduled for later in the year. This launch represents MG's second special edition lineup, previously having introduced the Blackstorm pack for the Hector, Gloster, and Astor.
Special editions have become increasingly popular in the automotive industry, with brands like Skoda, Volkswagen, Kia, Hyundai, and Maruti Suzuki introducing their own versions to entice customers. MG's move to launch these special editions underscores the company's dedication to celebrating its heritage and commitment to automotive excellence.
Making a statement on this occasion, Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer at MG Motor India, emphasized the significance of the 'Evergreen’ color. He highlighted it as a symbol of MG's spirited performance and illustrious heritage. Bajwa further articulated MG's ambition to continue building its legacy as a brand cherished for its rich history and connection with enthusiasts.
