MG Motor Raises Hector & Hector Plus Prices In India: Check Out All The Details Here
MG Motor has increased the prices of Hector and Hector Plus by up to Rs 30,000. The price hike varies across different variants and powertrains. The entry-level Hector Style remains unchanged, while other variants see hikes between Rs 16,000 and Rs 30,000. Looking into details, the Hector petrol variants with manual transmission have seen an increase of Rs 16,000–20,000.
On the other hand, the petrol automatic variants have been hiked by Rs 17,000–22,000. Diesel variants now cost Rs 18,000–22,000 more. The Blackstorm edition has also seen a price increase.
In terms of price, the base MG Hector Style variant with the 1.5-litre petrol engine does not witness any price hike, as such, the MG Hector model range prices continue to start at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
That being said, the base MG Hector Plus SUV prices have been increased up to Rs 20,000. Thanks to this price hike, the MG Hector Plus range now start at Rs 18.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

No Mechanical Changes
Despite the price hike, there are no mechanical changes to the Hector or Hector Plus. Both models continue with the same 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 142bhp and the FCA-sourced 2.0-litre diesel unit making 168bhp. Transmission options remain a 6-speed MT and a CVT for petrol, and a 6-speed manual for diesel variants.
Upcoming Special Editions
MG Motor may launch the Snowstorm and Desertstorm special editions for Hector, similar to those available for the Gloster. These new editions will likely feature visual enhancements, including contrasting accents and new paint schemes. Currently, only the Blackstorm edition is offered for the midsize SUV.

The MG Hector SUV is among the most well-equipped SUVs you can buy in India. The sheer number of features offered by Hector SUV attracts a unique set of customers and this small price hike is not expected to deter these buyers. That being said, other manufacturers are also catching up in terms of tech offered and it is almost time for MG to take the technology to the next step with another update.
