MG Gloster Snowstorm & Desertstorm Editions Launched In India – Prices Start At Rs 41.05 Lakh
In early May 2024, MG India celebrated its centennial by releasing special editions across its model range, including the Comet, Hector, ZS EV, and Astor. Noticeably absent from this celebration was the Gloster, a flagship SUV in MG's lineup. However, MG has swiftly addressed this by launching two distinct special editions for the Gloster the MG Gloster Snowstorm and the MG Gloster Desertstorm.
Both of these models are tagged at a competitive price of Rs 41.05 lakh (ex-showroom, India). These editions are exclusively aesthetic modifications to the SUV, expanding the Gloster Storm series to include the Blackstorm, Snowstorm, and Desertstorm variants.
MG Gloster Snowstorm Edition
The MG Gloster Snowstorm Edition introduces a visually striking white and black exterior palette, complemented by vibrant red accents for a dynamic look. The primary white body is contrasted with black touches on key areas such as the front grille, spoiler, alloy wheels, and wing mirrors, among others.
Red accents further enhance the visual appeal, adorning the front fender, wing mirrors, and headlamps. Inside, the Snowstorm Edition is outfitted with sleek black upholstery, accented by red stitching on the steering wheel, and is available exclusively in a six-seater configuration, tailored for those seeking a unique blend of comfort and style.
MG Gloster Desertstorm Edition
The MG Gloster Desertstorm Edition, on the other hand, opts for a golden exterior reminiscent of the hues found in the desert landscapes, echoing the design found on the Mahindra Thar Earth Edition. It shares similar black and red accent features with the Snowstorm edition, presenting a cohesive design language across the special editions.
The interior echoes the external sophistication with a plush black finish and contrasting white stitching, offering flexibility in seating options with both six- and seven-seater configurations available. This edition caters to those with a penchant for adventure, merging style with functionality.
MG Gloster Features & Powertrain
The MG Gloster stands out for its comprehensive feature list and robust powertrain options. Amenities such as a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, an adjustable driver's seat equipped with massage and ventilation functions, and an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite highlight MG's commitment to comfort and safety.
The ADAS suite includes forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking, among others. The Gloster is propelled by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations.
The engine outputs vary with the drive type, delivering 163bhp and 375Nm torque in 2WD, and 215bhp with 480Nm torque in 4WD, ensuring that the Gloster is well-suited for a variety of driving conditions, from urban commutes to off-road adventures.
