MG Cloud EV Spy Shot Reveals New Details – New Flagship In The Making?
Recently, a heavily camouflaged version of the MG Cloud EV test mule was spotted testing in India. What is even more interesting is that the test mule also sported "Intelligent CUV" (CUV stands for Crossover Utility Vehicle) stickering on the side.
While MG Cloud EV has been spied testing before, this particular one is slightly different as it not only flaunted the 'Intelligent CUV' stickering on the side, but it also features much more elaborate camouflage stickers and even featured heavily tinted windows.

In fact, the camouflage stickers were even covering the wheels on the test mule. As such, this gives rise to a suspicion that MG might even be considering an even more advanced and feature-rich version of the Cloud EV for the Indian market.
If true, the top-spec version of the MG Cloud EV could even feature more advanced autonomous driving tech, and a more luxurious interior with features such as massaging seats, refrigerator, and more.
In terms of design, the MG Cloud EV is an outright MPV with its small bonnet and a large glass area. However, we expect the model to look very premium and upmarket when it finally hits the Indian automobile market.

On the inside, the MG Cloud EV will come equipped with a large 8.8-inch digital driver's display, an even bigger free-standing infotainment unit, a large panoramic sunroof, leatherette seats, ventilated front seats, a powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control, and much more.
In terms of powertrain, we expect the MG Cloud EV to sport a large 50.3kWh battery pack and single electric motor with 177PS and 280Nm of torque. This specification looks familiar because it is identical to the outgoing MG ZS EV.
In terms of range, we expect the bigger MG Cloud EV's range to be slightly less than the MG ZS EV at around 450km per full charge. That being said, charging times will be similar to the MG ZS EV.

When launched, we expect the upcoming MG Cloud EV to be priced at just under Rs 30 Lakh for the base variant. Also, we expect the MG Cloud EV to give tough competition to models such as BYD Atto3, and even Toyota Innova Hycross.
