Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 Facelift SUV Launched At Rs 3.35 Crore – The Go Anywhere Luxury Barge
Mercedes-Benz has just rolled out the new Maybach S 600 facelift in India, setting the luxury SUV's starting price at Rs 3.35 crore (ex-showroom), before adding any additional optional extras.
The updated version introduces subtle changes to its exterior, a range of new trim and upholstery choices, and comes equipped with an enhanced 4.0-litre V8 engine. This model is now pricier by Rs 39 lakh compared to its predecessor.

The Maybach GLS 600 is powered by a robust 550bhp, 4.0-litre V8 engine. It features the most recent generation of the MBUX software, improving the user interface and connectivity features.
On the exterior, the luxury SUV flaunts a revised grille with the Maybach logo pattern, a redesigned bumper, updated LED tail-lamps, and Maybach-specific tailpipes. It is available in Black, Polar White, and Silver Metallic as standard colours, with dual-tone options available for an additional cost.
The interior of the GLS 600 sees enhancements primarily in software and trim options. A new steering wheel, refreshed AC vents, and advanced MBUX software with updated graphics, telematics, a fingerprint sensor, and hand gesture controls for selective commands are part of the update.

The rear seats offer ventilation, a massage function, and can recline up to 43.5 degrees, promising unparalleled comfort. Standard features include a 590W Burmester 3D surround sound system, ambient lighting specific to Maybach, and a Level 2 ADAS suite. Nappa leather upholstery and high-quality wood trim options add to the luxury feel of the cabin.
The powertrain of the GLS 600 maintains its impressive performance with the AMG-sourced 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. It now delivers 557hp and 770Nm of torque, boosted by an additional 21bhp and 250Nm thanks to a 48V integrated starter generator. The SUV boasts a 0-100km/h sprint time of 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 250km/h.
In the Indian market, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600's primary competitor is the 4.4-litre V8 Range Rover, whose price ranges between Rs 3.10 crore and Rs 4.46 crore (ex-showroom). The Range Rover is offered in both regular and long wheelbase versions, presenting buyers with a choice between two premier luxury SUVs.
