Mercedes-Benz Debuts Project MAYBACH Virgil Abloh Electric Concept At NMACC Mumbai
Mercedes-Benz has introduced an exclusive electric concept car, Project MAYBACH Virgil Abloh, at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai. This unique vehicle showcases a futuristic design vision.
Project MAYBACH was initially revealed during Miami Art Week on December 1, 2021. It marks the second collaboration between Gorden Wagener and the late Virgil Abloh, combining innovative design with a new take on luxury. The car highlights exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail, inspired by the idea of exploring the great outdoors.

Innovative Design Elements
The concept car is a 2-seater, battery-electric off-road coupé that merges large Gran Turismo proportions with significant off-road wheels and unique attachments. The design reimagines a traditionally urban brand within an off-road setting.
This extraordinary vehicle features creative elements like a dashboard compass, blending exploration with high-end functionality. It aims to inspire a responsible vision for future design while offering complete creative freedom, untethered by production constraints.
Collaborative Vision
The design teams led by Wagener and Abloh conceptualized this vision of future electric travel. They created a design unlike anything previously developed by Mercedes-Benz, focusing on sustainability and innovation.
The inspiration behind Project MAYBACH comes from the great outdoors. It recontextualizes Mercedes-Benz's urban image into an off-road environment, showcasing how luxury can intersect with nature and adventure.
This concept car represents a blend of visionary design and a revolutionary luxury approach. It stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts of Wagener and Abloh in pushing the boundaries of automotive design.
The unveiling at NMACC in Mumbai highlights Mercedes-Benz's commitment to innovative and sustainable automotive solutions. Project MAYBACH Virgil Abloh is not just a car but a statement of future possibilities in electric travel.
