Mercedes-Benz Strengthens MANUFAKTUR Programme With New Studio And Expanded Customization Options
Mercedes-Benz has enhanced its Sindelfingen site, a global hub for customisation, with a new exclusive customer experience. This development strengthens the site's reputation for producing top-tier models like the S-Class. The MANUFAKTUR program, known for personalising luxury vehicles, is now more accessible to customers at various locations within Sindelfingen, including the newly opened MANUFAKTUR Studio.
The MANUFAKTUR Studio introduces advanced production methods such as matrix production and PixelPaint technology. These innovations allow for precise customisation of up to 20 vehicles daily, independent of model series. The use of autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) facilitates flexible transport between production clusters, enhancing efficiency and allowing last-minute changes.
Jörg Burzer from Mercedes-Benz Group AG stated, "In our new MANUFAKTUR Studio at the heart of the Sindelfingen factory complex, we're offering our customers an exclusive area for a product experience with the highest degree of customization. By expanding the MANUFAKTUR experience, we are strategically developing the location and the 'Made in Sindelfingen' seal of quality. We're now combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative, digital production processes."
The MANUFAKTUR program offers a wide range of customisation options for select Mercedes-Benz models. Customers can choose from exclusive materials and colours that go beyond standard offerings. The S-Class will soon feature even more MANUFAKTUR Exclusive colours and options, showcasing the extensive possibilities available through this program.
