2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e: A New Benchmark In SUV Electric Range
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e 4MATIC SUV distinguishes itself with an EPA-certified electric range of 54 miles. This new model is now available in U.S. dealerships, starting at $59,900. The vehicle combines electric efficiency with extended range, making it ideal for longer trips.
Equipped with a sophisticated hybrid system, the GLC 350e features a 134 hp electric motor and a 24.8 kWh battery. This setup delivers a combined output of 313 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. The SUV offers an exceptional electric driving experience, allowing most daily commutes to be completed in all-electric mode.
The "Hybrid" drive program optimises electric propulsion for city driving. The standard 60-kW DC charging capacity enables the battery to be fully charged in just 30 minutes, enhancing convenience for users.
The GLC 350e comes in three trims: Standard, Exclusive, and Pinnacle. Each trim offers various comfort features and advanced technologies. Standard equipment includes a self-leveling suspension system, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, KEYLESS-GO® and KEYLESS-START®, and a centre airbag between the front seats.
The Exclusive Trim adds features like the Burmester® 3D Surround System with Sound Personalization and Parking Package with Surround View 360° Camera. The Pinnacle Trim includes all features from the Standard and Exclusive trims plus a Head-Up Display and DIGITAL LIGHT with Projections.
Customisation Options
Customers can personalise their GLC 350e with choices from 11 exterior paint colours, including four MANUFAKTUR finishes. There are also 13 different upholstery selections and six wheel designs, two of which are exclusive to this model. Additional customisation options include the AMG Line and exterior Night Package.
Technical Specifications
The GLC 350e's technical specifications include a 2.0L Inline-4 Turbo Plug-In Hybrid engine producing 201 hp at 6,100 rpm and torque of 236 lb-ft at 2,000-4,000 rpm. The electric motor adds another 134 hp and torque of 325 lb-ft. Combined system output reaches 313 hp with torque at 406 lb-ft.
The vehicle accelerates from 0-60 mph in an estimated time of 6.2 seconds and has a top speed of 130 mph (87 mph in all-electric mode). It offers fuel economy ratings of up to 64 MPGe combined (gas + electric) and up to 25 MPG combined (gas only).
Availability
The new GLC 350e joins Mercedes-Benz's plug-in hybrid family that includes the GLE 450e SUV and S580e sedan. These models set high standards in their respective segments.
