2024 Mercedes-Benz EQA: Launch Date India Confirmed

Mercedes-Benz has updated its entry-level electric compact crossover, the EQA. The refreshed EQA now features styling and equipment enhancements similar to the larger EQB. It gets the signature star pattern front grille, a horizontal light bar, aero-optimized bumpers, and a 3D light signature at the rear.

Inside, the EQA sports a new three-spoke steering wheel with capacitive controls, new trim pieces on the dash and doors, and illuminated Mercedes logos. It also comes with twin 10-inch screens and the latest MBUX operating system. These screens can be personalized with three styles: Subtle, Sporty, and Classic.

The voice-recognition system in the EQA is now more responsive to various dialogues. The vehicle is more efficient than its older model, thanks to improved aerodynamics, rolling-resistance tyres, and a new range-extender mode. This mode turns off non-essential functions like AC and display to increase the driving range.

The EQA 250+ trim offers a WLTP-rated range of 560 km, utilising a 70.5 kWh battery pack. The EQA 250, EQA 300 4Matic, and EQA 350 4Matic come with a 66.5 kWh battery. Both battery options support DC fast charging up to 100 kW. The FWD electric motor in the EQA 250 and EQA 250+ variants produces 188 hp.

The AWD EQA 300 4Matic and EQA 350 4Matic variants deliver a combined output of 225 hp and 288 hp respectively. The EQA now includes a new mono-multipurpose camera, a new backup camera, and offers features like Active Lane Keeping Assist optionally.

DriveSpark Thinks

The 2024 EQA, set to launch on July 8, is the latest addition to Mercedes-Benz's EQ lineup, which already includes the EQE, EQS, and EQB models. Positioned to rival the Volvo XC40 Recharge and BMW iX1, the EQA is poised to make a mark in the competitive electric vehicle market.

With its sleek design, advanced technology features, and eco-friendly performance, the EQA is set to appeal to environmentally conscious drivers looking for a premium electric driving experience.

Mercedes-Benz continues to expand its electric vehicle offerings, catering to a growing market demand for sustainable and stylish transportation options.
