Mercedes-Benz E-Class Achieves MotorTrend's Prestigious 2025 Car Of The Year Title
The all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been awarded MotorTrend's 2025 Car of the Year. Available in Sedan and All-Terrain versions, this model blends classic elegance with modern innovation. The E-Class has set a high standard in the midsize luxury market, previously winning this award in 1996 and 2021.
Dimitris Psillakis, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA, expressed pride in receiving consecutive wins for the E-Class from MotorTrend. MotorTrend's selection process involves evaluating new or significantly updated vehicles for its "Golden Calipers" award annually. A team of editors and guest judges assess each vehicle based on six criteria: safety, value, design advancement, engineering excellence, efficiency, and performance. This rigorous process determines which car earns their top honour.
The 2024 E-Class impressed MotorTrend with its meticulous updates. Ed Loh, Head of Editorial at MotorTrend Group, noted that "The meticulous and thoughtful changes that went into the 2024 E-Class are easily notable and incredibly impactful, which left the MotorTrend team thoroughly impressed. The E-Class met the mark across all six of our judging criteria and was undeniably the winner when compared to other vehicles in the segment."
