Recently, the 6th Gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB was introduced in India with a starting price of Rs 78.5 lakh (Ex-sh). However, there are indications that the price might soon start at Rs 73.25 lakh (Ex-showroom) due to some changes.
However, it is widely reported that Mercedes-Benz is planning to offer the E-Class LWB without the Superscreen setup, which could lead to a reduction in price, making the model a lot more affordable.

Features and Design
The 6th Gen E-Class LWB redefines luxury with its spacious and comfortable interior, catering especially to chauffeur-driven buyers. It initially featured a Superscreen setup on the dashboard, including three displays for infotainment, driver's instrumentation, and passenger use. Despite its futuristic design, it offered limited additional functionality over a dual-screen setup.
Launch?
Images suggest that these new variants without the Superscreen could launch soon in India. Also, may report that these changes are anticipated for certain models except the top-spec E450 MATIC variant

Response From Mercedes-Benz
In light of these speculations regarding the more affordable Mercedes-Benz E-Class variant, the German automaker stated that the company manufactured a limited 72 units of the LWB E-Class without the Superscreen, some of which were also used for the certification purpose, owing to an initial shortage of Superscreen. The company also stated that these limited units without the Superscreen were since sold by our Franchise Partners.
That being said, Mercedes-Benz reiterated that it will continue retailing the LWB E-Class in the current E 200, E 220d variants and the upcoming E 450 variant, with the MBUX Superscreen as a standard configuration.
