£2 Million Investment By Mercedes-Benz Dealer Spurs Job Creation In Dunstable
Intercounty Truck & Van, a renowned Mercedes-Benz dealership in the Midlands and Lincolnshire, has announced a £2 million investment in a new service and parts centre in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. This initiative will create 30 new jobs locally. The facility includes a modern workshop for van servicing and maintenance, over-the-counter parts, and advanced EV amenities, including eight EV charging points.
The dealership is strategically located in Dunstable’s Woodside Industrial Estate, close to J11/J11a of the M1 and London Luton Airport. This prime location ensures quick access for customers needing priority service, reducing downtime for drivers and minimising local disruptions. The site also features three 24-hour service vans offering round-the-clock roadside assistance and emergency visits.

In addition to facility upgrades, significant investments are being made in technician training. This includes an apprentice programme aimed at recruiting skilled technicians and participation in the Mercedes-Benz EV technical training pathway. This specialised training allows technicians to repair electric vehicle equipment down to component level, surpassing generic aftermarket EV training.
