Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe Facelift Launched In India At Rs 1.85 Crore
German luxury carmaker Mercedes has launched the GLE 53 Coupe facelift in India. The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe facelift is priced at Rs 1.85 crore (ex-showroom).
The facelifted Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe SUV remains unchanged mechanically but brings a few mild cosmetic tweaks that update the SUV when compared to the version that was discontinued when the facelifted version of the second-gen GLE made its way to India.
The changes are subtle so you'll really have to look for them to notice any changes on the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe for 2024. The exterior design changes come in the form of a revised front along with redesigned headlights and taillights.
The changes inside the cabin are also subtle with a new steering wheel with leather and Alcantara trim being the most visible one. The twin-screen setup features updated software and there is a new customizable heads-up display. The heated and ventilated front seats feature lumbar support for additional comfort on the go.
Mercedes also offers a host of options for customers to choose from and if one does choose the whole lot, raises the price of the SUV coupe to Rs 2.25 crore (ex-showroom). Some of these optional extras include the high-performance braking system, the AMG Track Pace telemetry system for those who want to take the SUV coupe to the track and improved sound insulation among others.
Under the bonnet of the new 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe sits the familiar 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six engine. The petrol powerplant is helped along by a mild hybrid system and produces 429bhp and 520Nm of peak torque which is sent to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
The mild hybrid system's electric motor adds an additional 20bhp and 200Nm of peak torque in short bursts when needed. The facelifted Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe sprints from 0-100km/h in 5 seconds (0.3 seconds faster than before) and has an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h.
The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe facelift comes packed with a host of safety features including nine airbags, driver aids like blind spot assistance, a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX anchor points and more.
