McGurk Performance Cars Strengthens Expertise With Key Hires And New Tech
Aston Martin Master Technician Gary Crosby has joined McGurk Performance Cars, enhancing the independent specialist's team. Crosby brings 25 years of experience, having worked on models from the DB7 to the DB11 and DBX. Employed by Aston Martin since 1999, Crosby's expertise saw him become a technical liaison at the company's Gaydon HQ.
John McGurk, owner of McGurk Performance Cars, expressed his enthusiasm for Crosby's addition. "I’ve known Gary for over 10 years and wanted to employ him all that time," McGurk said. Crosby joins Aston Martin Technician Steve Pocock, further strengthening the team’s capabilities.
McGurk highlighted the significance of having two technicians with extensive knowledge of Aston Martins. "It means we can solve problems faster because we know what they are, and diagnosis times will be shorter," he explained. Crosby added, "I enjoy problem-solving and am very hands-on in the workshop."
The timing of Crosby's arrival coincides with McGurk Performance Cars' substantial investment in new factory diagnostic equipment. This investment allows the servicing department to work on the latest Aston Martin models, ensuring comprehensive service capabilities.
Additionally, Simon Thorpe has joined as Workshop Manager. Thorpe's product knowledge and organisational skills are highly regarded in the industry. His and Crosby’s arrival, along with the new diagnostic equipment, positions McGurk Performance Cars to handle any servicing job effectively.
