Mazda To Sponsor StarFest Stage And Club CarFest At CarFest 2024
CarFest 2024 is set to take place at Laverstoke Park in Hampshire from the 23rd to the 25th of August. Notably, this year’s event will mark the 35th anniversary of the Mazda MX-5, with four generations of the sports car being showcased on the CarFest demo track.
Mazda UK, supporting CarFest 2024, will sponsor the StarFest and Club CarFest stages. As part of the celebrations, special MX-5s from Mazda UK’s heritage fleet will be displayed, presenting an opportunity for car enthusiasts to see various models in action.
A Mix of Entertainment and Charity
Created by presenter Chris Evans in 2012, CarFest 2024 is the 13th edition of this popular event. It offers a range of activities beyond just cars, including live music, comedy, self-care experiences, and culinary demonstrations, ensuring an engaging event for all attendees.
Since its inception, CarFest has raised over £25 million for UK children’s charities. In 2024, the event will support BBC Children in Need, Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, My Black Dog, Rainbow Trust, Starlight Foundation, Teenage Cancer Trust, Young Epilepsy, and Naomi House and Jacksplace.

The StarFest Stage will feature UK celebrities and DJ talent, including James Lance, Ed Byrne, James May, Tim Peake, Russell Kane, Rob Brydon, and Shirley Ballas. In the evenings, the space transforms into Club CarFest with DJs like Patrick Nazemi, DJ Hyperstar, and Denise Van Outen.

This year’s headline music acts include Richard Ashcroft, Beverley Knight, Olly Murs, Sam Ryder, Jake Shears, Judge Jules, Reef, Scouting for Girls, Deacon Blue, Kula Shaker, The Feeling, and UB40 featuring Ali Campbell.
A Glimpse of Mazda MX-5's Evolution
The Mazda MX-5 was revealed at the 1989 Chicago Motor Show and arrived in the UK in March 1990. Celebrating its 35th year, ten examples from across its four generations will be showcased, including two 1.6-litre Mk1 models, the Le Mans Special Edition Mk1, and a 1.8-litre Mk1 in British Racing Green.
Other models displayed will include the Mk2 10th Anniversary, the Mk3 25th Anniversary, and the Mk4 30th Anniversary editions. The exhibition will also feature the 2016 Launch Edition of the Mazda MX-5 RF and two 2024 Mazda MX-5 models.
