Mazda North American Operations Reports Strong September 2024 Sales Growth Of 6.5 Percent
Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) announced that September 2024 saw a total of 29,841 vehicles sold. This marks a 6.5% increase compared to September 2023. Year-to-date sales reached 313,452 vehicles, reflecting a 15% rise from the previous year. Despite having fewer selling days in September this year, the Daily Selling Rate (DSR) increased by 20.3%.
In Canada, Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) reported selling 6,745 vehicles in September, up by 21.4% from last year. The year-to-date sales for MCI totaled 55,153 vehicles, marking a significant growth of 26%. Meanwhile, Mazda Motor de Mexico (MMdM) recorded September sales of 7,760 vehicles, showing a 14% increase from the previous year.
The CX-70 model achieved its best-ever sales in September with 1,560 units sold. The CX-50 also had its best September with sales reaching 6,603 units. Additionally, the CX-90 recorded its highest September sales at 4,249 units. These models contributed significantly to the overall positive performance.
Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle sales in September amounted to 5,608 units. This represents a slight decline of 3% compared to the same month last year. Despite this decrease in CPO sales, the overall growth in new vehicle sales indicates strong market demand for Mazda's latest offerings.
Year-to-date figures for Mazda Motor de Mexico show a total of 68,980 vehicles sold. This is an impressive increase of 30% compared to the same period last year. The strong performance across different regions highlights Mazda's growing presence and popularity in North America.
