Maserati Marks 60 Years Of Quattroporte With Grand Showcase At Salon Privé

To mark the 60th anniversary of the Maserati Quattroporte, Maserati Club UK hosted a special event at Salon Privé Blenheim. The celebration featured all six generations of the iconic saloon, showcasing nearly 80 cars, including 41 pristine Quattroportes. This event, named ‘Quattroparty,’ took place on the North Lawn of Blenheim Palace during Salon Privé Supercar Saturday & Club Trophy presented by Lockton.

The event highlighted one model from each generation of Quattroporte, with owners proudly displaying their vehicles and sharing stories with attendees. Michael Roberts, Chairman and Director of Maserati Club UK, praised the condition of the cars and thanked the owners for their participation. He stated, "The Maserati Club members who conceived and organised this display deserve the greatest credit. It is splendid to have such an impressive array of Quattroportes at Salon Privé Blenheim to celebrate one of the Trident brand’s most iconic and longest running models."

60 Years of Maserati Quattroporte

Launched in 1963, the Quattroporte combined grand tourer elegance with saloon practicality. Over six decades, it evolved through multiple generations, setting benchmarks in luxury and performance. From sleek early models with V8 engines to advanced modern versions, the Quattroporte has consistently pushed boundaries in automotive design.

The Maserati stand on the South Lawn featured the UK debut of the GranCabrio Trofeo. Alongside it were the GranTurismo Trofeo and GranTurismo Folgore, Maserati’s first electric vehicle. The MC20 Cielo also impressed visitors with its twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine. These displays underscored Maserati’s commitment to innovation while honouring its Italian heritage.

The Salon Prive Club Car Trophy Parade awarded an MC20 owned by Brian Goldman and a rare Quattroporte II driven from Belgium by Thierry Dehaeck’s trusted friends. Roberts added, "It was very special to be able to see the evolution of the models through six generations of Quattroporte. The Club is grateful to everyone who came together to make it possible."

Maserati's Future Vision

Maserati continues to produce unique cars known for their style and technology. Their lineup includes SUVs like Levante and Grecale, grand tourers like GranTurismo and GranCabrio, and high-performance models like MC20 Cielo. By 2025, all models will have full-electric versions, aiming for an all-electric range by 2028.

The Quattroporte remains a favourite among luxury car enthusiasts worldwide despite production ceasing in 2023. Its legacy continues to inspire new models within Maserati’s range.

As Roberts noted, "As we see the brand evolving and looking to the future, it is important for us to also look back and celebrate the incredible heritage that continues to inspire us all and our passion for the brand and its extraordinary, special creations."
