Following its display at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, Maserati Chief test driver Andrea Bertolini took the MCXtrema on its inaugural laps at Laguna Seca. Bertolini, known for his success in the GT class with four world titles aboard the Maserati MC12, showcased the car’s capabilities before handing over the keys to its new owner.

Maserati offers MCXperience services to make ownership even more distinctive. This includes access to on-track experiences and a racing kit designed by Maserati Centro Stile and Sparco. The exclusive club allows owners to immerse themselves in the Maserati racing world alongside professional drivers and technicians.

Giovanni Sgro, Head of Maserati Corse, expressed pride in delivering the first MCXtrema at Laguna Seca. "Seeing the MCXtrema come to life has been a rewarding journey. Maserati unveiled the concept here in Monterey just a year ago, and now, we're delivering the first one at Laguna Seca," he said.

Crafted for Excellence

The MCXtrema represents automotive innovation at its finest, blending Italian craftsmanship with advanced technology. Developed with extensive virtual analysis and dynamic simulation testing, it excels in track performance. Designed by Maserati Centro Stile and entirely made in Italy, it merges beauty with functionality for superior aerodynamics and handling.

Maserati spent approximately 200 hours in dynamic simulation and 1,000 hours on detailed virtual analysis across various simulations to ensure optimal performance. Built on four years of MC20 development and subsequent engine advancements, this track-only masterpiece is one of Maserati's most powerful performance cars.

A Grand Debut During Monterey Car Week

This special occasion at Laguna Seca served as a fitting venue for the first customer delivery of the track-only MCXtrema during Monterey Car Week. The event highlighted Bertolini's pivotal role in its development through rigorous simulation testing.

Maserati produces a range of unique cars known for their extraordinary personality. Their lineup includes models like Grecale SUV and GranTurismo grand tourer, characterized by high-quality materials and excellent technical solutions. By 2025, all Maserati models will have full-electric versions, with an all-electric range expected by 2028.

"It’s been a labour of love," Sgro added. "This car truly embodies the spirit of Maserati, combining advanced technology with our signature Italian craftsmanship." He emphasized that ownership continues to be an exclusive selection process from beginning to end.

The GranTurismo is available with both high-performance V6 petrol engines derived from Nettuno and a fully electric version called GranTurismo Folgore. The full-electric range also includes Grecale Folgore SUV and GranCabrio Folgore convertible.

Maserati's top range features the MC20 super sports car and MC20 Cielo spyder powered by Nettuno V6 engines incorporating F1-derived technologies into standard production cars for the first time.
