Maserati Unveils MC20 Icona & Leggenda Celebrating Racing Comeback

Maserati marks two decades since its racing comeback with the MC20 Icona and MC20 Leggenda. These limited-edition cars honour the MC12, which reintroduced Maserati to racing in 2004. The MC12 led to the MC20, launched in 2020, featuring Maserati's innovative V6 Nettuno engine.

Taking inspiration from the MC12 Stradale, the MC20 Icona features a livery that pays homage to the Maserati Trofeo Light. It includes unique details from the Fuoriserie personalization program, like a Bianco Audace Matte and Blu Stradale colour scheme, Maserati Fuoriserie logo, Italian flag logo, and a carbon fibre engine cover.

Conversely, the MC20 Leggenda channels the MC12 GT1 under the Vitaphone Racing team. It boasts a Nero Essenza and Digital Mint Matte livery, Trident wheels, Trident logo in yellow, and black brake callipers. Both cars have racing interiors with lightweight monocoque racing seats, Trident embroidery, and a limited-edition badge on the engine cover.

The MC20 Icona and MC20 Leggenda celebrate the success of the MC12 GT1, which clinched numerous victories and championships in the FIA GT Championships from 2004 to 2010. The MC12 Stradale, which inspired the MC20, was the fastest production car Maserati had ever made, with a top speed of 330 km/h.

Maserati's MC20 Icona and MC20 Leggenda continue the brand's racing legacy. These cars highlight Maserati's commitment to top-notch performance and design. Maserati's range includes unique cars known for their style, technology, and exclusivity. The brand is also increasing its electric offerings, planning to have all models available in a full-electric version by 2025 and exclusively electric by 2028.

Both the MC20 Icona and MC20 Leggenda come with the advanced Sonus faber sound system, a carbon fibre interior package, and other sophisticated safety features. The MC20 Leggenda’s Nero Essenza and Digital Mint Matte livery, trident wheels, Trident logo in yellow, and black brake callipers make it stand out.

The MC20 Icona’s livery is a tribute to the Maserati Trofeo Light and includes a Bianco Audace Matte and Blu Stradale colour scheme, Maserati Fuoriserie logo, Italian flag logo, and a carbon fibre engine cover. Meanwhile, both cars share racing interiors, featuring lightweight monocoque racing seats, Trident embroidery, and a badge on the engine cover indicating their limited-edition status.
