Maserati Unveils GT2 Stradale Super Sports Car At Monterey Car Week 2024
The Maserati GT2 Stradale made its global debut at the 2024 Monterey Car Week in California. On 16 August, this new super sports car was unveiled to an eager audience at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. This event is a highlight for motorsport enthusiasts and connoisseurs.
Davide Grasso, Maserati CEO, stated: "Maserati GT2 Stradale is a unique product, bringing together as it does the brand's greatest sporting heritage, and at the same time representing evolution of one of Maserati's most iconic vehicles, the MC20 halo car. This model intended for everyday driving was created based on the desire to offer our customers more and more in terms of technical mastery, innovation, design and emotions in road driving: on the one hand, we find sophisticated solutions reserved for models designed for track use only, the epitome of Maserati's racing DNA; on the other, we can guarantee optimal comfort paired with all the most advanced driver assistance systems. Maserati GT2 Stradale is a product that can fulfil the requirements of the most discerning enthusiasts, a new creation that expresses the brand’s entire essence."
The Maserati GT2 Stradale blends advanced technology from racing cars with qualities from mass production models. It combines elements from both the Maserati GT2 and MC20. This fusion ensures top performance while maintaining comfort and style.
At The Quail event, two other notable Maseratis were also showcased: the MC20 Icona and MCXtrema. The MC20 Icona marked its North American debut. Meanwhile, the MCXtrema featured at Laguna Seca during an event celebrating its first model delivery.
The GT2 Stradale boasts impressive specifications: over 320 km/h top speed, 640 hp output (10 hp more than the MC20), and a weight reduction of 60 kg. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. These features promise exceptional driving experiences.
Unveiled in June this year, the MC20 Icona celebrates 20 years since Maserati's return to GT championships with the victorious MC12. Limited to 20 units in Bianco Audace Matte and Blu Stradale livery, it honours past models beloved by fans.
Customisation Options
The GT2 Stradale offers extensive customisation options to enhance performance and aesthetics. Packages are available for those seeking a bolder look or improved performance. Specific configurations vary by market.
The MCXtrema returned to The Quail following its 2023 world premiere. With 730 hp power and a refined design, it is built exclusively for track use. Only 62 units will be produced worldwide.
